If player controls become unresponsive on your mobile device when you cast to your Chromecast, it usually means data on your device needs to be refreshed. Follow the steps for your device below to fix the problem.
Android
Switch Cinessance profiles

From the Cinessance app, tap More
or your Profile icon.

Tap Manage Profiles. If you don't see this icon, continue to the next step.

Tap a different profile icon to switch to that profile.

Once the profile has loaded, follow steps 1 through 3 again and select your original profile.

Tap the Cast icon, then tap the name of your Chromecast device to reconnect it.

Try Cinessance again.
Force stop the Cinessance app

From the Android Home Screen, select Settings.

Select Application Manager, Applications, or Apps.
-
If you can't find your Application Manager, refer to your owner's manual or contact your device manufacturer for further assistance.

Select Cinessance.
-
Select Force Stop.
-
Try Cinessance again.
Turn your device off, then back on

Turn off your Android phone or tablet by holding down the power button.

Confirm that you want to turn off your Android.

To turn your Android back on, press the power button again.

Try Cinessance again.
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Switch Cinessance profiles

From the Cinessance app, tap More
and then Manage Profiles.

If you don't see the Profiles icon, tap More
in the lower right.

Select a different Cinessance profile.

Once the profile has finished loading, follow the above steps again and select your original profile.

Reconnect to your Chromecast using the Cast icon and try Cinessance again.
Force-close the Cinessance app

Double-tap the Home button.

Swipe left or right until you see the Cinessance app.

Swipe up on the Cinessance app preview to close it.

In iOS 6, hold your finger on the app until a red badge with a line through it appears, then tap the badge to close the app.

Tap the Home button, then try Cinessance again.
iPhone X:

From the Home screen, swipe up and hold until you see your open apps.

Swipe left or right until you see the Cinessance app.

Swipe up on the Cinessance app to close it.

Try Cinessance again.
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Press and hold the side button and one of the volume buttons at the same time until the sliders appear. Drag the top slider to turn your device completely off.

If the sliders don't appear, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears, then drag the slider.

After 10 seconds, press the Sleep/Wake button.

Once your device powers on, try Cinessance again.
